Punjab lost a great singer in Surjit Bindrakhia. An
emmence Talent with such a powerful voice, I heard him first when I
visited my native place in Nawanshahar Distt. Sine then, I have been
following up his songs. Bhaaji, tusssi Challe gaye teh Ek bahut wadi jagah
khaaali chadd gaye jo kade nahi bharni. Waheguru Tuhaaadi aatma nu
shanti deve te bacheyaaan nu Himmat bakshe , is dukh to bahar aaan deee.

Surjit Bindrakhia was no doubt a great
punjabi singer. He is my all time favourate singer of punjabi music. His
untimely and sad demise has left punjabi music lovers in cry. I lived
in my childhood at Village Mian Pur Chander which is merely two
kilometers from Bindhrak. However, unfortunately I could not meet him. I
wish his son Geetaj will become a great punjabi singer and poeple will
remember surjit who is actually surjit for punjabi music. Naval

He is the next to Gurdas Mann who has so
much talent in his field and was one of the greatest singer in the
world. No one can be comparable to him.
He is the master of his field. Every one likes to listen him on the
stage or in any performance. I would like to quote some lines here that
"If you are perfect in your job people will search you even if you`re
sitting in the jungle". Bindrakhia had upgraded the Punjabi culture and
punjabi maa boli. His haeak was a record in the world. You can
imagine how he become famous after the release of his first cassette and
another. No doubt Samsher Sandhu writes lyrics for bindrakhia but it is
the voice which stimulates the people to listen to him only. He is one
of the gem of punjabi singing. His song "Dupatta tera satrang da"
received the BBC award after few days of the release of this song.Noone can
deny this that all the songs in his cassette are energetic and
meaningful. I am lacking in words to praise this singer. When he is on the
stage to perform his performance always killed the scene and performance of
others. The show stands for him no doubt there are many other
singers,but the show is recognised as Bindrakhia`s show.
He is still a LEGEND and DON of his field.
